Learn how to make new plants from old, using cuttings and seeds. Take home a pot that you have propagated, and learn how to care for it until it strikes.
Where: Gravelly Beach, location to be advised upon ticket purchase and closer to the day
Cost: $5 financial members, $10 non financial members – tickets essential at https://
What to bring:
Secateurs or garden snips if you have them, and a pen or pencil you don’t mind getting dirty.
Cuttings or seeds you would like to try; however, some will be provided on the day.
– If you are bringing cuttings in, make sure you take a larger section of the branch rather than just the tips. If you follow the plant stems inward until you reach firmer wood, make a cut, and place the stem into water as soon as possible. Store in a cool place. Bring the section in whole, and take the cutting as close to the event as possible.
– If bringing seed, it is best to use seed that is as fresh as possible.
We will be having a shared morning tea on the day so please bring a plate of food to contribute to the table. Also, to minimise waste please bring along a plate and any cutlery desired, and a mug for a hot drink. Tea and coffee will be provided.
Any items you would like to swap are welcome as well i.e produce, plants, seeds, books etc.
Due to the nature of the activity children are not recommended to participate unless strictly supervised by an adult (sharp instruments), and no liability will be taken by Permaculture Tasmania or the property owner.
