Permaculture came to me when I was dairy farming and raising small children. It was a relief to discover a way to do both in a beyond sustainable way – for the land and the people. Over 20 years later, we now have a permaculture demonstration farm in the Huon Valley, hosting wwoofers and travelers from around the world who are looking to make permaculture part of their daily lives. Our cash enterprises are fruit, vegetables and eggs, with an emphasis on perennial systems. My background in family farming has led me to specialising in consulting and teaching on mostly on rural projects, but with a long association with school and community projects.
